Celebration of "40 years of Pharmacy Education" 40 years of Pharmacy Education in Bangladesh is likely to be celebrated on 24th and 25th February 2005. Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Society and Faculty of Pharmacy, DU will jontly celebrate the occasion through a two day program. Inaugral session and first day program will be held on Hotel Sonargaon and the Second day program will be in the faculty premises. Registration will be open from 1st January 2005 and will close on 10th February 2005.   Fund for new faculty building for DU Pharmacy Dhaka University Faculty of Pharmacy is going to raise fund to build a new building in the Dhaka University. Appeal will be soon made to faculty old students and industrialists worldwide. A total of 5 crore taka is required to build the state-of-the-art new faculty building. A committee has already been formed with professor Choudhury Mahmood Hasan as the convenor. Interested sponsors are requested to contact with the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Abdur Rashid or with Professor Choudhury Mahmood Hasan.   Act 13(a) is finalized on June 3 The Act 13(a) of National Drug Act 1982 is finalized on June 3, 2004.   GSK sponsors Pharmachronicle's current issue The current issue of the Official Newsletter of BPS, Pharmachronicle is soponsored by Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK). BPS congratulates this effort.   Pharmacists Database is on the way Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Society will soon start creating database for the pharmacists working in various pharmaceutical industries both home and abroad. This database will aid the BPS members to communicate and exchange their professional information and also be in touch with the events and happenings of Bangladesh Pharmceutical Society. The database will soon be available online.
